Webb Institute |
|
|
|
| The Webb institute is
one of a few universities that teaches nautical engineering
and ship design. This is the place where the last wooden ship
builders in New York City lived out their final days. Before
it's nautical beginnings, the mansion and property was part
of the Pratt Estate in Glen Cove. Another millionaire once called
this mansion home too, Bruce Wayne. Batman Forever used the
elegant estate as the exterior of Wayne's mansion. The rest
of the magnificent estate can be seen at the Welwyn
Preserve. |

Perhaps once an underground ice house,
it is now a laundry room with a tunnel to the main mansion, seen left. |
