CI had 2 rail spurs for delivering
coal to the south colony power plant and the other power plant. It
also had a passenger station and even its own locomotive. The locomotive
was commonly referred to as "the Creedmore Creeper." This
was because when it would make pickups for patients and supplies at
Creedmore in Queens it would chug slowly along on the main line holding
up the LIRR trains. Thanks to U-boat commander for this information.
