The Sunburst building was
originally for TB and geriatric patients. The therapy for TB at
the time consisted of sitting in the fresh air. In the abandoned
part one can still see the caged in porches wear patients would
spend there days. Half of the building was renovated by NYIT the
other half left in abandonment.
